Senior Management at Elan Nutrition
CEO – Tom Olive brings over 20 years of business and financial management experience from the consumer packaged goods industry to Elan. He was most recently Executive Vice-president & CFO at Elan (since September, 2003) with responsibility for providing direction to Finance & Accounting, IT, Supply Chain and Purchasing. He has prior experience as Vice President - SBU's and Financial Planning for American Italian Pasta Company and has served in various business planning and controls roles with the Procter & Gamble Company, Campbell Soup Company and its Arnotts Biscuits unit, and Borden Foods Corporation.
VP of Operations - William Curtis brings over 25 years of experience in the manufacturing and quality assurance operations of major food and non-food manufacturers. Mr. Curtis has served as regional quality control manager for Frito Lay, plant manager of a variety of plants in the Kraft/Nabisco system and most recently as Vice President of Operations - for Zelinka Nurseries.
Vice President Sales, Supply Chain- Lee Covert brings over 25 years of sales, marketing and management experience in the global food & nutraceutical ingredient industry. He was most recently Director of Business Development at The Solae Company and previously led Solae's North American sales team for the Healthy segment.
CTO - Jim Castellano brings over 25 years experience in the food industry with such companies as Kraft/Nabisco and Best Foods in various corporate research roles. Developed several accelerated and predictive methods and computer models to determine flavor and texture changes in food products. Extensive experience in troubleshooting and problem solving product development issues utilizing basic and applied chemistry.
Director of Information Technology - Teri Reed joined the Elan team in April of 2001, bringing 20 years of manufacturing and wholesale distribution IT experience. Prior to Elan, Teri was the Director of Information Technology for Maly's Inc. holding the responsibility of voice and data needs in addition to the conversion of a mainframe to a client server environment for their 2 divisional headquarter locations, 60 retail stores, and 75 fields sales representatives.
Director, Quality Management Systems and Regulatory Affairs- Dr. David Condon graduated with a Ph. D. in Chemistry from The National University of Ireland. Dr. Condon has implemented ISO 9002 in General Foods, Dublin, Ireland and more recently in, East Hanover, NJ at Givaudan-Roure Inc. Dr. Condon has held leadership positions in Pepsi Cola International and Tastemaker Inc. implementing TQM/CI into their facilities worldwide. In addition Dr. Condon has held the senior leadership positions in the quality discipline in Candle Corporation of America, Orval Kent Food Company and now at Elan Nutrition. Dr. Condon has implemented Food Safety Systems/ HACCP into Orval Kent Food Company and Elan Nutrition Inc.
