Elan Nutrition Announces Plant Expansion

Elan Nutrition's new CEO, David Finnigan, announced plans in progress to invest $10 million to expand the nutritional bar manufacturing capabilities and add a brand new line to produce sheeted nutritional bars. The new Sollich equipment line will add production capacity for at least 80 million bars annually and provide the capability to construct multiple layered products. Elan Nutrition's aggressive expansion plans coincide with increasing consumer demand for on-the-go, good-for-you snacks including controlled carbohydrate options.

Further plans include additional capacity in co-extrusion with a new high speed line, improving packaging efficiency with the addition of new high speed packaging equipment and start up of a mini-line for manufacturing 20-35 gram bars with the option of packaging in bulk, pillow packs or stand-up pouches.
